Perfect timing. So original and has hardly aged over these last three decades whatever! We loved it on first listen all those years ago. Needed more than Autechre, AFX, Warp records, Ninja tunes, Drum & Bass etc and then Tom's 'Drill & bass' appeared. Bought it in all its formats like the rare classics - didn't it come out on cassette aswell? - And we danced differently to it, learnt to DJ with it. A tool aid for drawing, designing too and just quality inspiration for last two generations. Ace! Matt Wyre before Sol, Dave..

I had the privilege to see Four Tet live in Amsterdam around 2018. I must have missed this album, because it was missing in the other 8 albums I already have. And what a find. Sometimes Four Tet needs some time to appreciate, but this album is very open and friendly. PlayItLoud!

After a sterile, bleak year of lockdowns, Chemz made me feel emotions I'd forgotten even existed. As the hook immediately grabbed me by the ribcage and propelled me into a swirling black hole of a dancefloor, I simultaneously felt electric ecstasy and as though I'd quite like to punch a hole through my speakers. meganekko

rarely in the post-chiastic slide era have autechre sound so fresh. sign is the british duo's most accessible offering in ages, while lacking none of the knack for sonic adventures that made autechre favorites among those of us who prefer their music challenging and, at times, unpredictable.
